Turning 4...and Learning to Drive!

Rylee has had birthdays on her mind since our new friends, Aubrey and Zella, celebrated their 4th birthday in January.  (If I'm honest, I've had birthdays on my mind as well and pinterest has kept me rather captivated lately. :))  Anyway, back to Rylee. We have had several birthday conversations while in the car recently. They have gone something like this:
"I'm 3, but I'm going to be 4 soon."-Rylee
"Yes, you are in June."-Me
"Is Gracie going to be 4 too?"-Rylee (who always wants to know if Gracie is going to be doing the same thing that she is doing)
"Yes, her birthday is in March and she will be 4."-Me
"Yay! Gracie and I will both be 4!"

We have also had another conversation in the car recently. It looked something like this:
"Mom! you have to stop. The light is red!"
"I am stopping. Thanks, little backseat driver." *said nicely, we had just watched "Calliou Backseat Driving with Grandma"
"Can I drive?"
"Not until you are older and can reach the petals."
"Will you teach me to drive when I get older?"

Both of those conversations led up to this one with her dad and a lady at our church:
"How old are you, Rylee?"
"I'm (beginning to old up three fingers, then changes her mind)...going to be 4, and when I turn 5 my daddy's going to teach me to drive!"

Oh, how I love this little girl and the smiles she brings me everyday!
